The Right Technique
Hold at a slight angle
Tilt the brush head slightly against the surface rather than pressing it flat. This lets the bristles dig into the fabric instead of skating over the top.
Short back-and-forth strokes
Quick, short swipes work better than one long dragging motion. This is what actually builds the electrostatic charge that pulls hair out.
Work in sections
For larger areas like a full couch, break it into a few smaller sections rather than trying to cover it in one pass. It stays faster than a vacuum attachment either way.
Empty as you go
If you are tackling a heavily-shedding area, press the release button partway through rather than waiting until the chamber is completely full. It keeps pickup strong the whole time.

Sofas & Couches
Work cushion by cushion. Embedded hair in seams may need a second pass.
Car Seats & Trunk
Great for tight corners and trunk liners. Short strokes work best in confined spaces.
Clothing
Use gentle pressure on delicate fabric like sweaters. It will not snag or pull threads.
Carpet & Rugs
Deep pile carpet may need a couple of passes since hair sits further into the fibers.

Works well on comforters and sheets. Empty the chamber partway through larger bedspreads.
Real Questions, Honest Answers
It picked up some hair but not all of it in one pass, is that normal?
Yes, especially with heavy shedders or fur that has been sitting on a surface for a while. A second pass in the same spot usually clears the rest. It is still faster than a full lint roller or vacuum session.
My couch is large, do I need to do it all in one go?
No, work it in sections rather than trying to cover the whole thing in one continuous swipe. Most customers find this is quicker overall than it sounds.
Is there a trick to emptying it faster?
Hold it over a bin and press the release button in one motion, the fur drops straight out. If you are doing a big area, emptying it once or twice partway through keeps the pickup strong instead of waiting until it is completely full.
Can I use it one-handed on a big area like curtains?
Yes, though for extended sessions on large vertical surfaces some people find it easier to support the fabric with their free hand for a bit more leverage, rather than holding the curtain and brush both in one hand.
Keeping It In Top Shape
No special maintenance needed. Empty the chamber after each use by pressing the release button, and wipe the bristle head with a dry or slightly damp cloth if it looks dusty. Avoid submerging it in water, and store it somewhere dry between uses.
